"Hangin’ Out"
The next day Matt woke Stephanie up around 5:30. They had to be at the studio at seven if they didn’t want to get in trouble. They got ready and went downstairs to eat a quick breakfast...it was twenty until seven so it had to be quick. They ate then Matt and Stephanie got in the car Matt drove them to the studio.
When they got there Chris and Frankie were there...half asleep. “Are Greg and Jesse here yet?” Stephanie asked them as she and Matt plopped down on the couch. “Not yet.” Frankie said yawning. “They better hurry because we have to practice before the concert tonight!!” Matt said. Just then they heard snoring coming from the love seat. Chris was stretched out fast asleep. They all laughed quietly. Just then Greg and Jesse came in talking. Chris woke up. Stephanie got up and ran to hug Jesse. “Hey girl!” Jesse said. “Hey!” she said as she hugged Jesse. He kissed her on the cheek close to her lips. Just then Claudia said, “Ok guys...let’s get started!” They all went over and started practicing for their concert. Stephanie watched quietly until one of them did something funny every once and awhile. Later they practiced singing. Then about after an hour they stopped to take a break.
The guys sat down, Jesse beside Stephanie. “You are coming to the concert tonight aren't you?” Jesse asked Stephanie. “Yeah...of course!!” she replied. “She is sitting on the right side...in the first row.” Matt said. “Cool!” they all said. “Come on guys...we have to go over it once or twice more.” Claudia said. They all got up...Jesse kissed Stephanie then got up.
After the guys were done practicing Matt said, “My mom wanted me to ask you guys if ya’ll wanted to come Christmas shopping with us tomorrow. So do you?” “Sure!” they guys said. “Cool.” Matt replied.
“Ok you guys--we need to get over to the amphitheater and get everything ready.” Dream Street’s manager said coming into the room, “Do you guys wanna grab your things and get ready over there of do you wanna get ready here and come over later?” “We’ll get ready over there.” Greg replied. “Ok.” the manager replied and headed out the door.

“You gonna come with us or is mom and them gonna bring ya later Steph?” Matt asked. “I’ll go with ya’ll--just let me call and tell my mom that I am.” she said, “Where is there a phone?” “You can use my cell.” Jesse said handing her his small, silver cell phone. “Thanks!” she said with a smile. Jesse smiled back. She moved aside and called.
The guys were talking as they gathered their things, clothes and different things they needed to make themselves look great. “I know it has only been a little less than two days but I think me and Steph are going to go a long way with our relationship.” Jesse said to the guys. “That is great!” Greg and Frankie said. “Yeah--I love my cousin and I love you like a brother Jesse. Ya’ll are good together.” Matt said. “Yeah.” Chris agreed quietly. He didn’t want the guys to know but he liked Stephanie a lot too. He thought to him self, ’She is Jesse’s girl and Jesse is like my brother. I should just forget these feelings I am having for her and leave it at that.’ “Yo, Chris!” Jesse said snapping his fingers at Chris, getting him out of his thinking trance. “Oh...sorry...what? Chris said. “Just seeing if you were still with us.” Frankie said. “Oh yeah...I am. Let’s see if everyone is ready to go.” Chris said forgetting about what he said he would lay off. “Ok...here comes Steph.” Greg said. “So...can ya come?” Jesse asked as they guys walked up to her. “Yes!” she said happily. She handed Jesse his phone and he put it in his pocket. He grabbed her hand and the headed to their bus. The bus had lots of room and seats. It had a table and a mini fridge. “Wow...this is so cool!” Steph said as she was looking around the bus. “Well...it gets us where we need to go!” Chris said as he put down his things and stretched out on a seat that was kinda like a couch. Stephanie giggled and went and sat down. After everyone and everything was on the bus it headed to the amphitheater. The guys were practicing the songs on the way.
